To help the 2023 graduates smoothly embark on their overseas study journey, on May 22nd, Longgao organized a pre-departure information session for the 2023 students and their parents. The session focused on four core areas: the later stage of further education, visa processing, overseas safety, and financial services, providing comprehensive and practical guidance.
At the beginning of the presentation, Zeng Zhen, the deputy director of the Overseas Study Service Office, was the first to give a speech. Director Zeng meticulously dissected the key processes in the later stage of college admission, focusing on core matters such as the release of results, unconditional admission exchange, and pre-departure preparations. He clearly sorted out the key nodes and precautions, helping students clarify the ideas for the conclusion of applications and pre-departure preparations, and laying a solid foundation for the later stage of college admission work.
Overseas security is another key point of this presentation. Officer Qin Hua from the Exit-Entry Administration Detachment of Yichang Public Security Bureau delivered a special sharing session. With over 20 years of international police experience, having carried out multiple peacekeeping missions and served as a police liaison officer abroad, he combined his own overseas experiences to explain the safety protection skills and emergency response methods abroad, enhancing students' safety awareness and ensuring a safe study abroad experience.
In addition, VFS's special guest, Fannie Wu Fang, briefly introduced the material requirements and key points of visa application for different countries, reminding everyone to pay attention to details, make preparations in advance, and avoid affecting their trips. Li Xuefei, the director of the business hall of the Yichang Branch of Industrial Bank, explained knowledge about overseas financial services such as deposit certificates and foreign exchange conversion, helping students make good financial plans.
