Students from Longgao stood out among many contestants with their solid mathematical foundation and outstanding thinking ability, winning a total of 1 national gold award (advancing to the Kangaroo Turkish and Polish camps), 2 national bronze awards, and 2 math skills awards.
The Kangaroo Math Thinking Activity was initiated by the renowned Australian mathematician Peter O'Halloran in 1980. In 1991, two famous French mathematics educators established the official organizing committee and promoted it in Europe. The headquarters of the global organizing committee is located in Paris, France. This activity aims to stimulate students' interest and confidence in learning mathematics through interesting, vivid and life-related questions, cultivate their mathematical thinking, and train their abilities in reading, understanding, analyzing and solving problems. It is suitable for students of all grades and various mathematics levels to participate in and is called "a competition that makes children fall in love with mathematics". After years of development, Kangaroo Math Thinking Activity has become a globally large-scale international mathematics competition for teenagers, with over 6.3 million students from 87 countries and regions participating each year.
Congratulations again to the award-winning students. In the future, the school will continue to optimize mathematics teaching and create more opportunities for students to learn and showcase themselves. It is believed that with the joint efforts of teachers and students, more students will stand out in the field of mathematics and achieve even more brilliant results!
