I am not here to give you a flowery speech But to let you know what Christmas means to meChristmas is a time for giving and sharingSpending time with family, with friends and showing others we are caring

To some Christmas means there’s presents beneath the tree.To others, it’s children’s laughter, as happy as can be.Every time this season comes around I’m filled with joyTo see the bright smiles from every girl and boy.

But during this time of year when I’m so far away from homeAway from loved ones and everything I ownI try not to feel sad or blueBecause there’s lots of people feeling like I doInstead, I give thanks for all that’s around meFor kind, warm-hearted people who support meAnd yes to you, who have made my Christmas to be filled with cheerKnowing that there’s no need for me to have any fear

So I will dedicate this little poem to youTo students, to teachers, and all the staff too
