International high schools have won the NEC National Economics Challenge

The regional station of NEC National Economics Challenge in 2021 has come to a successful conclusion, and the students of Longpanhu International High School have achieved great success.

The National Economics Challenge is the most influential Economics competition for high school students in the United States. It is organized by the Council for Economic Education to stimulate students' interest in Economics knowledge. Develop problem-solving skills and habits of critical thinking. It affects more than 11,000 high school students each year, and more than 20% of NEC U.S. finalists have been admitted to Ivy League schools such as Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, with recognition from Wall Street financial groups.

The team formed by eight students from grade 19, Li Yawen, Duan Lingling, Zheng Qi, Tan Shaolin, He Junlin, Xiang Xingdi, Zhou Shuyu and Wang Runze, won the silver award and bronze award, and all of them were promoted to the national contest in March. The students won the prize with excellent results, showing the basic knowledge of economics and the ability of scientific application of economic knowledge of Longpanhu students.
